it is open from morning 8:30 to evening 5:30
entrance fee us Rs 80 per head
for children it is Rs 40

Battery operated cars are available, in it for adults the cost is Rs 150 and for children and senior citizens it is Rs 90. in it they will cover the zoo in 30 mintues

if we decide to take a walk, we need to walk for 3 kms and if you wish to see all the animals, then it will take more than half a day.

for vehicle parking during season if you come early, then parking is available here, but it gets filled very fast
so much place is available for parking, but during long weekends and during tourism season, this parking is not sufficient during long weekends parking will not be available here,
you will have to go down this road around close to 1 kms away the parking is available during normal days there is a lot of traffic here especially during long weekends

now come let us see the Zoo, Popularly known as the Mysore zoo, Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Garden
in 1892 then Mysore Kingdoms 23rd King Sri Chamarajendra Wodeyar Bahadur  got his established this is one amongst the best zoos in Asia.
this zoo also is par of the wild animals conservation nature conservation and education along with welfare of wild animals, for all these and more this zoo is an example for others zoo's

no restriction on the number of people, children all are allowed. because there is sufficient place available here, hence we do not restrict the number of people , sanitisers are made available at every place

in 1895 this zoo was started in 10 acre of land, later after 10 years it was expanded to 45 acer land now including Karanji lake, the zoo is spread across more than 150 acer.

there are more than 150 variety of birds and animals in this zoo.
on the occasion of this historical zoo's 125th anniversary in memory of it this statue has been erected here.


There have an luggage room, 10 Rs per item, the amount will not be refunded if we are carrying bottle
then we need to declare the bottle here, they will put a Rs 10 sticker on it when we exit the zoo, if we show the bottle with the sticker then they will refund that 10 rupees to us

the Great Indian Hornbill, large beautiful bird with bright yellow, and black casque on top of its massive bill. length 130 cms, life span is 50 years
